Vehicle Tuning

Here at 21st Century we specialise in the remapping and tuning of the cars' ECU chips, improving the engines efficiency and giving your car increased power, torque and fuel economy. By altering the vehicles management system we can increase drivablity with no detriment to reliablity.

Serial Remapping
Serial port programming allows us to remap your vehicles ECU (engine control unit) without removing the ECU from the vehicle, the remapped software is uploaded direct to the ECU's EPROM via the vehicles diagnostic socket. This allows for the performance conversion to be totally invisible with no soldering or removal of componants.

Petrol Engine - Naturally Aspirated
Remapping a petrol engines' ECU will produce 15 - 20% BHP depending on the exact specification, the engine will also be more responsive on initial acceleration and produce more torque (up to 20%) thoughout the entire rev. range.

Petrol Engine - Turbo
Remapping of turbo petrol engines' ECU will produce 20 - 30 % BHP depending on the exact specification, the engine will be significantly more responsive and powerful with the minimum of throttle input, with no lagging at higher revs. This large increase in power and torque gives you far more fexiblity in all gears reducing the need to change down unnecessarily to overtake quickly.

Diesel - Turbo
Remapping a diesel turbos' ECU with produce 30 -50 % BHP and 50 - 70% torque depending on the exact spesifications. With this modification you will notice the most significant increase in power and torque. Extra power through the entire rev. range and under load. The tuning capablity with these engines is incredible.
